Writing should be submitted according to the following restrictions:

Author Guidelines

1. The manuscript must be written in English and submitted online through the journal's website. Online Shipping will be charged at no cost. The author must be logged in to create a submission.

2. The manuscript contains 5 to 10 pages including embedded figures and tables, without any attachments, and the file must be in Microsoft Office (.doc/.docx) or Open Office (.odt) format. It should be prepared on A4 paper (21cm x 29.7cm) using 2.5cm for the inner margin and 2cm for the top, bottom, and outer margins.

3. Titles, Abstracts, and Keywords should be written in English.

4. The title must be less than 15 words, Cambria 13 Bold Center, should not exceed 12 words, except conjunctive, and the writing must be in a single column with a colom space of 1.15 cm.

5. The name of the author's name is written without titles, the writing must be in a single column with a colom space of 1.15 cm. using the letters Calibri 12, center aligned.

6. The author's affiliation is written without a title, the writing must be in a single column with a column space of 1 cm. using the letters Calibri 9, center aligned.

7. The abstract does not contain figures or tables, is written with Calibri 10 Center, Justify, spaces 1.15, and should not exceed 250 words, the writing should be in one column.

8. Keywords contain three to five words/phrases separated by commas and written using Calibri 10 Left, and single spaces.

9. The body of the manuscript. The main text of the writing should be in two columns with a colom spacing of 1.15 cm, Calibri 10 Justify, first-line indentation of 5 mm, and spacing of 1.15.

10.Consists of Introduction, Main Content (Methods/Materials/etc.), Results and Discussion, Impact of Activities and Conclusions; followed by Acknowledgments and References.

  • Headings should be made in four levels. Level five is unacceptable.
  • Heading 1: title case, Uppercase, centered, bold, Calibri 10 Bold, Left, Capslock, 1.15 spaces,

  • Heading 2: Use Capitalize Each Word, left-aligned, bold, Calibri 10, spaced 1.15, Use Capitalize Each Word
  • Heading 3: Use Capitalize Each Word, left-aligned, italics, Calibri 10, space 1.15, numbered with numbers.
  • Heading 4 is not recommended, but is still acceptable with case sentence format, left indent 5 mm, hanging indent 5 mm, italic, Calibri 10, single-spaced, numbered letters followed by closed brackets.
  • Heading 5 is unacceptable in the script.

11.Figures and tables don't have to be black and white, and if they're made in color, they should be readable when later printed in black and white. Figures and tables should be legible and proportional to the rest of the page.

12.Captions should be numbered, in Calibri 9 Justify and 1.15 spaces.

13.Figures and tables are allowed to use a single column.

14.For layout purposes, please provide the images/tables with their respective headings with extensions .tif/.jpg/.jpeg in a specific folder apart from the manuscript. (in the announcements section).

15.Mathematical equations should be written, numbered sequentially, and accompanied by the necessary information.

16.Headers and footers including page numbers should not be used.

17.All hypertext links and section bookmarks will be removed from the paper. If you need to refer to an Internet email address or URL in your paper, you must type the address or URL completely in Regular font.

18.Citations and References are written according to the APA style, in the author-date format used to quote, using Calibri 10, italics.

19.Examples of writing citations with APA style: (Handoko et al., 2020) and writing references using APA style:

20.Wikipedia, personal blogs, or non-scientific websites are not allowed to be taken into account.

21.Self-citations are allowed but are limited to two citations.

22.Primary references must be at least 80% of at least ten references.

23.References should be taken from the last five years.

 

The editorial board is authorized to reject the manuscript based on the peer reviewer's suggestion and make any necessary changes or adjustments related to the nature of the language without changing the substance. The editing of the substance will be consulted with the author first.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
 

Copyright Notice

The author whose published manuscript approved the following provisions:
 
1. The publication rights of all journal material published/published on JIAT's Journal of Innovation and Applied Technology website are held by the editorial board with the author's knowledge (moral right remains by the scriptwriter), the authors agree to automatic transfer of the copyright to the publisher.
 
2. The formal legal provisions for access to digital articles of this electronic journal are subject to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which means that JIAT (Journal of Innovation and Applied Technology) reserves the right to save, transfer media / format, in the form of database, maintain, and publish articles without requesting permission from the Author as long as it keeps the author's name as the owner of Copyright.
 
3. Printed and published print and electronic manuscripts are open access for educational, research and library purposes. In addition to these objectives, the editorial board shall not be liable for violations of copyright law.

4. All articles in JIAT can be re-used and re-distributed without restriction, as long the original work is properly cited.
